UC Girls Win 4×800 & 4×400 at Millrose Trials
UC girls burn up the track with pair of red hot wins at Millrose Games Trials
The Vikings won the 4×800 and 4×400 to qualify for the Millrose Games
The Union Catholic girls burned up the track with a pair of sizzling victories at the Millrose Games Trials on Wednesday night at the 168th Street Armory in New York.
In the 4×800-meter relay Invitational, the Vikings rolled to victory in 9:21.86, the fastest time in the country this season. The four runners for UC were Ashleigh Patterson (2:22.32), Morgan Jackson (2:19.69), Zamira Ysaac (2:20.69), and Morgan Williams (2:19.14).
The Vikings also dropped a red hot 3:56.34, the No. 1 time in NJ and third fastest time in the nation this season, to win the 4×400 Private School race. UC was in a close battle with Paul VI through three legs,but then UC senior Chidumga Nkulume blasted a 56.31 anchor carry to give UC a two second victory over Paul VI, second in a US#7 3:58.34.
