Patterson placed 7th, Brown runs red hot 4×400 split for UC at Penn Relays
The Vikings ran the 59th fastest 4×400 team out of 536 teams
PHILADELPHIA – Union Catholic’s Brandon Patterson placed seventh in the shot put and the Vikings 4×400-meter relay team ran one of the fastest times of the meet at the 124th Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
Patterson, a senior, placed seventh in the shot put with his throw of 57-11 1/2, and the 4×400 relay team, despite a dropped baton, still ran 3:23.05, the 12th fastest time among all N.J. teams and the 59th fastest time among the 536 teams that competed.
The UC 4×400 team consisted of Daryl Miller, who ran 50.34, Elijah Brown, who dropped a blistering 47.84, Makay Johnson, who split 50.10, and Christian Albanese, who anchored in 54.78.
