UC’s Myles Plummer wins high school debut at Battle at Ocean County Park
Plummer won the Freshman Division race
Union Catholic’s Myles Plummer opened lots of eyes with a sensational high school debut when he won the Freshman Division at the Battle at Ocean County Park on Friday in Lakewood.
Plummer, who has all the makings of a future star, covered the 3,200-meter course in 10:08 as he won the race by four seconds over runner-up Jack Moran of Wall Township.
Led by Plummer, the Vikings tied with Toms River North in the team standings with 53 points.
In the Junior Division race, UC’s Zach Turner placed 39th in 17:38, Andrew Palacio was 78th in 18:27, and Daniel Labrie was 79th in 18:28. Matt Swinehart ran 18:55 to finish 92nd ifor UC n the Senior Division race.
