Sydney Breaks State 300m Record

Olympian Sydney McLaughlin added to her remarkable track and field resume on Saturday when the Union Catholic senior torched the track by breaking her own New Jersey record and running the No. 2 high school time ever in the girls 300-meter run at the Molloy Stanner Games at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York.
The Kentucky-bound McLaughlin, who became the youngest U.S. track and field Olympian in 44 years this past summer, stopped the clock at 37.11 to smash her state record of 37.49 that she ran as a sophomore in 2015.
