UC Girls Run Fast 4×8 at the Varsity Classic

The Union Catholic girls 4×800-meter relay team, comprised of all underclassmen, ran one of the fastest times in the state this season at the Varsity Classic on Monday at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York.The Vikings cranked out a 9:32.90, the sixth fastest time in the state this year, to place second to Middletown South (9:31.70). UC received a four second personal best split of 2:27 from freshman Ashleigh Patterson, a 2:21 from freshman Leena Morant, a 2:21 from sophomore Jerika Lufrano, and a 2:22 from first-year runner Alexandra Borik, a sophomore who ran a 2 second personal best.
